
Festival del Cinema Italiano – Japan
The Italian Film Festival in Tokyo takes usually place in the Japanese capital during the Golden Week (the most important week of national holidays), in prestigious Yurakucho Asahi Hall. Additional screenings take place in Osaka and online. The selection highlights Japanese Premieres.
The festival, organized by Cinecittà with Asahi Shimbun, the Japanese publisher that hosts the film in the prestigious Ginza Yurakucho Asahi Hall, the Italian Cultural Institute, and enjoys the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic and the patronage of HE The Ambassador of Italy in Japan.
Average audience is 15.000 people, and about one third of the selected films are acquired by Japanese distributors.
