Contributi Automatici
Contributi Automatici is a support scheme introduced into the Italian legislation by Law no. 220/2016, Art. 23-25. Contributi Automatici involves two phases: a) implementation of a potential fund; b) reinvestment of the amounts accrued.
- Implementation of a potential fund
The support scheme is based on a detailed “point system,” regulated by the Ministerial Decree of July 15, 2021 n. 251, and provides for the attribution to audiovisual companies of a potential fund into which the amounts generated by the individually requested authorized grants flow.
- Reinvestment of accrued amounts
The amounts accrued, under the Directorial Decree of May 6, 2020 n. 1210 and subsequent amendments, can be reinvested to support the development, production, domestic and international distribution, and home entertainment diffusion of theatrical, TV, and web works. Companies can exploit the resources accrued within five years.
