The Set of Ancient Rome Reopens to Visitors for Christmas
Cinecittà Shows Off offers the opportunity to visit the set of Ancient Rome, created in 2004 for the television series Rome, from 20 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.
Cinecittà Shows Off offers the opportunity to visit the set of Ancient Rome, created in 2004 for the television series Rome, produced by HBO with the participation of the BBC, and subsequently used for important national and international productions, during the Christmas holidays, from 20 December 2023 to 7 January 2024.
The fascinating setting, which includes the Forum, symbol of Republican and Imperial Rome, provides the visitor with the chance to admire some of the most emblematic buildings of the political, administrative and religious life of ancient Rome, including the Basilica Giulia, the Curia, the Rostra, the Temple of Venus and a stretch of ancient Via Sacra.
Tours of the set, available only with a guide from the Educational Department, offer the opportunity to discover the design and artisanal work behind the creation of a set and to see the components of cinema magic close-up.
