The mayor of Rome, the Hebraic Community of Rome, in collaboration with the Associazione Nazionale ex Deportati (ANED) organized also in 2006 a journey/study to the death camp Auschwitz/Birkenau for about 250 students from the Roman schools. The purpose of this trip is to inform the students about the largest and most brutal of all death camps where the Nazi tried to conclude the extermination of mainly the European Hebrews. The documentary AUSCHWITZ 2006 is the record of this journey through the past and the present.
