Working along the lines of theater-tragedy that recalls the experience of the New York theater Cafe La Mama, this film introduces us to Dario, a male nurse in a psychiatric hospital who lives in an abandoned wing of the hospital where he finds Raul, a theater performer. Dario lives suspended on the border between normality and madness, and in a skillful dramatization on a football field one night he acts out all the roles at once, he’s the team, the referee, the sports announcer, the fans. From that moment on Raul gives up his role as entertainer of the community of hospital patients, and chooses to “entertain” that narcissistic vehicle in which Dario seems to have enclosed himself. At the peak of his narcissistic regression, Dario extracts a woman’s personality from his body, symbolized by a stocking, with which he acts out a relationship of suffering passion. Again he plays all the roles himself: mother and son. A birth that can perhaps result in a psychic rebirth.
