A young women named Stella is trying on a sumptuous white wedding dress in a dressmaker’s shop. A few hours later, at sunset, Stella endures hours of terror beneath a tree in the fields …The next day her fiancé Andrea, together with her mother, wait for Stella to wake up. Every day, in order to get to work, Stella takes a dirt road that runs through the fields before joining the paved provincial roadway. It is on this dirt road, while waiting for the bus on a rainy day, that Stella once again meets Franco, the owner of the dress shop. Magnetic, unsettling Franco gently wins her over. Stella begins to smile once again.
