“La lunga calza verde” (1961, 24’) is an animated film by Roberto Gavioli based on a story by Cesare Zavattini, which was recently restored by the Cinecittà-Istituto Luce. This is an extraordinary anti-rhetorical prize-winning cartoon which tells the story of the epic that was the Risorgimento, made for the centenary of the Unification of Italy.
