Albania, in an unspecified year under the Communist regime. Niko, a former professor and Communist Part Secretary, now fifty years old and unemployed, lives off the money that his son Mikel sends him from Italy. He has not heard from his son in a while, but then a letter arrives that can set everything straight. But as soon as Niko takes it in his hands, a sudden gust of wind blows it away. Finally, Niko makes his way to Italy. After a number of misadventures, he finds Roberto, his son’s roommate. Roberto seems to avoid the father’s questions. In the end, two shady figures come to pick him up and take him to meet his son in Mikel’s hiding place…
