Giulia is a twenty-two years old who has just finished her studies. She is an open and tolerant young woman who believes in freedom and reciprocal respect. But on the day that her mother presents her young lover to Giulia, her brothers and her father, everything changes. Giulia is wrought by a feeling of shame, and she just cannot explain her feelings of embarrassment at her family’s lack of morals to her boyfriend Andrea. And this is when the negative events begin: her exams go badly, she leaves Andrea and her relationship with her father becomes strained when she discovers that he too has an uncomfortable secret. Giulia’s first reaction is to commit a rash action, then she decides to leave home and to confront the truth with Andrea.
