Amedeo Magis, Professor of Linguistics at the Sorbonne, while walking through an old wood, suddenly comes across twelve naked women, among whom he recognizes his mother, his wife Elena, his daughter and a number of his own students. It is only a dream which makes him wake up in the dead of night. Next day Amedeo and his wife go to see his elderly mother who lives in the country. He is profoundly upset by this troublesome and strange old lady and by his wife towards whom his feelings are changeable. His uneasiness increases when his daughter Gloria arrives and in front of her mother and grandmother asks her father to teach her how to kiss. Perhaps she is only playing, perhaps she is asking for a sign of affection, the fact is that Amedeo discovers a woman, or a wife… Thus, mysteriously all returns to normal and Amedeo continues to live his eternal and unchanging youth, the same youth he experienced twenty years previously, when he first brought Elena home to meet his mother…
