Larsen has three passions: smoking rosemary, Radio Misfit and racing his car, which he has modified in order to beat his rival, Nuvola. The advice that Larsen gave to one of his listeners, Aldone, a fishmonger and strip-tease star, to go with the moment, also influences Larsen and his mecchanic friend, Polifemo, to follow Silvia, his boss’ wife, who has run away with Aldone. Larsen sets off on his search for Silvia after he is forced to decide by Tommaso, who wants to sack him. Polifemo and Luigi, a friend and colleague from the radio, together with Claretta, Luigi’s lover, accompany Larsen on an incredible journey which eventually leads the four travellers to a strange castle where they are welcomed by an eccentric inventor.
