A group of young anti-conformists and rebels live together in a small apartment. One day one of them, Richy Ceciarelli, decides to take advantage of a natural “defect” of his: his knack for ventriloquism. After going to a television casting with a talking puppet, Richy’s success is immediately made into an advertising ploy, bringing the young ventriloquist glory and wealth. Inspired by Richy’s example, the other members of the group quickly put aside their anti-conformist attitudes too, trying their best to insert themselves into the same society of consumerism they protested so long against. Only one of them, Scilla, finds the strength to continue rebelling, but her attitude leads her to a series of unpleasant episodes.
