Sicily has been ruled by Muslims for 180 years, since around the Year 1000 A.D. (3rd Century of the Islamic calendar). Their heritage can be found in the gastronomy and its delicious food, in the geographical names and in most of the culture and architecture to such an extent that this documentary underlines how the Islamic culture has always influenced the island located in a strategic position in the Mediterranean Sea.
