The recent discovery of Marconi’s early notebooks, currently held by the Accademia dei Lincei in Rome, which provide a new interpretation of the personality and preparation of his work as President of the Italian National Research Council, shed new light on his many-sided personality, underlining his international and cosmopolitan stature, especially in relation to the most recent discoveries and technological applications in the most varied fields of scientific research.
