We want the colonels
The extreme right-wing deputy Giuseppe Tritoni (Tognazzi) organizes a coup d?état, but the Minister of the Interior Li Masi foils his plans. The Head of State, threatened by Tritoni, dies of a heart attack. Li Masi, acclaimed as avior of the homeland, puts some anti-parliamentary and unconstitutional measures into effect. Years later, Tritoni re-sells his project to African adversaries.
