Marco invites four female friends to his house to play poker. Every time that one of the players can’t play, Giulia, the youngest there, nags her friends to replace them. For, her poker with four players is a big drag. The film begins with the search for a fifth player to replace Teresa who is working abroad. However, this time the fifth player turns out to be someone who messes with the dynamics of the game. Lucia has fled in the grips of an existential crisis to Rome from a rich and traditional area in the north-east. She manages to gain acceptance by the group in spite of her initial reservations and the suspicions of the other players. They all soon discover that at the poker table the players’ real characters emerge
