Film Distribution Fund: 2024 Call and Guidelines

The annual Call, allocating a total of 1.6 Million Euros, is now open. Deadlines: 15 October, 15 December.

Fondi Internazionalizzazione: the Call and new Guidelines for the annual Film Distribution Fund have been published.

The 2024 Fund is equal to 1,600,000 euros, divided into 2 calls of 800,000 euros each for requests relating to theatrical distribution. The beneficiaries are foreign distributors with registered offices throughout the world except Italy, San Marino and Vatican City. For applications relating to theatrical distribution, the maximum contribution that can be requested is 50,000 euros.

Grant requests must be submitted as per the Call and the following deadlines:
– 1st session: by 15 October 2024
– 2nd session: by 15 December 2024

‘L’oro di Napoli’ by Vittorio De Sica restored by Cinecittà pre-opens Venice

The classic film by and with Vittorio De Sica, L’oro di Napoli (The Gold of Naples, 1954) starring Eduardo De Filippo, Sophia Loren, Silvana Mangano, Paolo Stoppa and Totò, will be the Pre-opening film on Tuesday August 27th of the 81st Venice International Film Festival of La Biennale di Venezia, on the 50th anniversary of the death of Vittorio De Sica and the 70th anniversary of the film.
